Here's some footage from rehearsal last night. The whole team got together in preparation for the DOM & Friends SD show this Saturday and in celebration of Birthday Aka Kent Jamz' (OverDoz.) day of birth!!! The Birthday boy was lucky enough to receive a serenade from one our favorite female vocalists, Ms. Dwanna Orange (from Dom Kennedy's "Still Me") as she kills the traditional bday tune and then grooves to Stevie's version of the celebratory jam. 1. first off, introduce yourself to the people who aren’t already familiar with you..

$.D. – Greetings & salutations good fans of hip-hop. I go by the name Skotch Davis. Aka Skidididotch from the Blidididock.. New York native. Music enthusiast. All around cool guy.

2. what are you looking forward to the most at A3C?

$.D. – Sharing the stage with artist from all over the United States. I enjoy hearing what’s brewing across the map because music is so wide open now, that next big sound can come from anywhere.

3. Is this your first time performing? if not, how do you want to make this year better than your last?

$.D. – Nope. I’ve touch many stages in many places for A while now. Though it is my first time performing at A3C & my first show in Atlanta, I’m extremely excited to bring my talents to the “A” *Lebron Voice..

4. how do you feel about performing on the same stage as everyone from your coast on one night?

$.D. - Again, I love seeing what my fellow emcee’s have in store for the fall & future. Especially those that represent my same region.

5. what are your next upcoming projects?

$.D. – Skotch Tape is on the way. Skotch x Grizzly Tape right after & Live In Proof at the top of the year. With a few surprises along the way.

COOL News: Homeboy Industries' New Contract

For those who are not yet aware, Homeboy Industries is an amazing organization dedicated to progressing lives and improving the community. Based in Downtown Los Angeles, the company's services--including mental health counseling, job training, legal services, education and tattoo removal--have helped many individuals to advance themselves, and move away from a life of crime, violence and drugs.

After having to cut its services tremendously due to financial difficulties, Homeboy has just received a $1.3 million dollar contract to reopen its programs for the community. With this new contact, this organization will be able to continue to push its COOL cause.
