Honorary Paperboy: Tupac Shakur 1992 R.I.P.

I posted this video a while back but my boy Polyester brought it back to my attention recently so I figured I would re-post it since it's still so relevant and inspirational. Tupac was COOL because he was comfortable and in touch with himself. He told it like it is and called a spade a spade. He is a personal idol of mine for the very reason that he was so human. We had a chance to watch him deal with life's trials and tribulations and he came out a better person. Life is about learning, growth, and change. It's unfortunate that we didn't get a chance to see him develop into his full potential and learn from him but Tupac left a piece of himself with us in his music and in his message. It's up to us to take the game and energy and apply it to our lives and the world around us. This won't be my last post about Tupac so i'll leave off right here and we can talk Tupac a little later.

COOL LOVE.

The JUST BE COOL. Campaign is a campaign that thrives off of us, the people. We, as humans, look at the trend setters, the leaders, the pioneers to see how we should be, look, act and feel. Unfortunately, in the past, we have been lead down a path that has conditioned us to be insecure, judgmental and negative. That's not who we are as people. Life has conditioned us to ACT the way we ACT today. All that is over. Being COOL is a very natural thing. Its a very human thing to be the unique YOU, follow YOUr heart and express YOUrself. We came out of the whom crying, smiling and optimistic. Those were natural expressions and feelings. It's time to reclaim ourselves, and to identify ourselves for who we are as COOL individuals.

Today, I came across a blog post by a COOL friend of ours, Crystal on the Kind Regards blog, titled JUST BE COOL! This is the type of support that has brought this campaign to where it is today, and that will change the world. Although, not all of us have blogs or online platforms to express ourselves, we do have a voice and we see and speak to many people on the daily. Embrace your COOL, express yourself freely, and lead by example to help the rest of the world find their COOL. Thanks for the love and support!

World Wide COOL ish!

Sunday night my boy Lateef of Shake The Hand invited me out to this party on Sunset. We ended up meeting some new COOL friends from New Zealand that support the JUST BE COOL campaign! HD was pretty blasted and he wanted to make sure we knew where he was from so he rips his shirt off to show us the name of his gang tatted on his back, Happy Days! At first I thought the name was kind of funny being that it's a gang but then he explained to us how they're not into all that violence and BS. Its pretty much a crew guys from the ghetto of New Zealand that roll together, get money together and do COOL things for their neighborhood. Sounded COOL to me! Shout out to HD and the rest of our new friends from New Zealand!

SATURDAY NIGHT COOLIN'

So this weekend was pretty cool. Saturday night we took a trip out to Rancho Cucamonga to host a fashion show and grand opening party at the A Loft W Hotel. I love going out of town and seeing how people across America party. Although this was only about an hour away, I still felt like I was out of the state. But anyway, thanks to Paul and Bam Bam for inviting us out! Thanks to all the supporters who came up to me to let me know they support the JUST BE COOL. Campaign! Here's some pics from the party! BJ THE CHICAGO KID LIVE

Last night, I went by Space 1520 to check out my boy BJ "The Chicago Kid" perform with his band. He is what you would call an entertainer. His live show is nuts! I would say he's definitely up there with my boy Skotch Davis when it comes to going all in for your fans. He has a type of energy that spreads throughout the crowd and makes you want to come back for his next show, not to mention that he's an incredible singer and song writer. Congrats to BJ for a wonderful show, lets make sure we get in the studio soon bro!

Niiiiiiiice...I'm a watch person. I love watches. I have ambitions to have a very large watch collection. I love watches because watches tell TIME. TIME is a crazy concept. TIME is an opportunity. Last night we got back in the studio with L.A.U.S.D. and this time my bro Diz Gibran blessed us with his presence and his talents. One thing I could say about Diz is that he's consistent. Consistency is key in life and for success. Make sure you keep your eyes and ears on his career, because he will show you the importance of being consistent through his success. A Night in the CHI!

I don't know where you will be tomorrow night, but I'm definitely going to be checking out my bro BJ The Chicago Kid as he will bless the stage with his COOL player vocals and live band. Dom. Kennedy x Don Cannon ???

Dom Kennedy & Don Cannon... Hmmmmm. Sounds like a match made in heaven to me. The guy CANNON! has been setting the streets on fire with mix tape after mix tape after mix tape; working closely with Lil Wayne, Asher Roth and even those COOL guys Mikey & Chuck, he's everywhere!

In this interview with Hip Hop Official he speaks briefly about the power of the mix tape in booking tours and gaining exposure. He also goes on to mention his most recent projects with Asher Roth and The COOL Kids, his current project with Young Dro of TI's Grand Hustle label and his future plans to connect with brother Dom Kennedy, who has also been setting a few speakers ablaze across the country. I'm not sure what Mr. CANNON! has up his sleeve but, it sounds to me like he's putting his best foot forward here.

I must say, I can definitely appreciate his efforts to give young artists an outlet to showcase their talent on a global level. Don Cannon is keeping Hip Hop alive by changing the game for young talent and spreading the COOL in a major way; Bravo Brother!

It's always good to see folks showing love and supporting this movement. Its all about UNITY, PEACE, PROGRESS and keeping a positive attitude about LIFE! This should be interesting folks...stay tuned...Stay COOL.
