THOWBACK THURSDAY: Changes!

Today we had a very special meeting and conversation with a very inspiring individual, a woman by the name of Leila Steinberg, who was Tupac's long time friend and first manager. The meeting was special to me because Pac has been one of the most inspiring people in my life. I've always felt a connection to Pac and his passion for change which is why I have a picture of Pac on the front of my business card with the subtitle "A Passionate Vision For Change." Leila and Pac shared that same connection on an even deeper level which is why they were such good friends. The energy at todays meeting was so overwhelming that it was hard for me to even eat my meal but, I definitely got some food for thought.

Just like Pac and Leila, we're working to spread a message and make an impact worldwide and we've done it in some similar ways. It's not a coincidence that I've had Tupac on my business card for the past few years and then I end up meeting somebody so close to him and she happens to be spreading the same message. I want to thank our friend Slav of XXL Magazine for seeing the connection and for making the introduction and Leila for taking her time to meet with us. In honor of Pac's legacy and Leila's continued efforts to change the world we decided to feature one of our favorite Tupac songs and some footage of Pac and Leila! Enjoy...

Last night we hosted the GIBBS x KENNEDY x CARTER show at On The Rox and it was LIVE! The line up was Alexander Spit, El Prez, Carter, DOM Kennedy and Freddie Gibbs and they all did their thing! Throwback Thursday!

In honor of my bro Dom Kennedy and his new project "From The Westside With Love" set to release next week, I just wanted to take a walk down the path of progress. Here's a collection of Dom's videos over the years to show the progress and the growth. It's important to look back at your starting point so you can see how far you've come. One thing about Dom is he is constantly PROGRESSING and working on his craft and that's the key to success. It's been a long road for all of us but it's been a great one! We're all very excited about the release of "From The Westside With Love" and we hope you're ready for it because its BANANAS! Thank you for all the support and the love on this journey. STH & EAZEE PRESENT: J*DaVeY at The Roxy Tonight!!

Tonight, we will be heading over to The Roxy, joining Eazee and the ShakeTheHand crew for their J*Davey show. Word is, the tickets are only $10 and they will be performing at Midnight. I saw them perform in SF and trust me when I say this, their show is DOPE. Maybe I'll see you there...

A COOL WEEK COMING UP!!!

With the release of Dom's "From The Westside, With Love" rapidly approaching we will be making a few stops around town promoting the release. This is a very big weekend for us so, we'd like to let you know where we will be and how you can come out and celebrate with us!

This Thursday, March 4th we will be hosting GIBBS x KENNEDY x CARTER at On The Rox, Sunset. Doors open at 9pm and tickets will be sold at the door for $10. Hope to see you there!


On Friday, March 5th we will be making a few stops. The first will be at Laces High School (5931 W. 18th St. Los Angeles, CA 90035) for their Haiti Fundraiser and Mardi Gras Party. The event is from 7-10pm & Dom will be performing at 9pm. Tickets will be sold at the door for $10 and we will be setting up the JUST BE COOL booth, selling official JBC Merch all night!

From there, we will be heading straight out to Riverside for the SPAZ Fashion & Music Bash. This event will be hosted at Society Boutique by Majorhype & Exclusive Entertainment. The cost is FREE before 10pm and Dom should be going on around Midnight so, make sure to get there early!


This Sunday, March 7th we will bring you Dom Kennedy's "From The Westside, With Love" Listening Party! Stay tuned, details coming soon. Until then...

A COOL WEEKEND RECAP

It was another COOL weekend! Saturday night we went down to LA Live for the Goodie Mob reunion concert. Goodie Mob had the whole spot rockin'! Shout out to my girl Devi Dev for a wonderful night and to my dude Cee-Lo for being so damn COOL! Later that night we ran over to Temporary Spaces to check out the Shake The Hand and Tommy B event "Say Cheese"! Nice turn out fellas!
